Chris Jones, 2 other men accused of rape, sodomy released from home incarceration

The case has been referred to the grand jury and it will be presented to the grand jury in April.
Jalen Tilford, Tyvon Walker and Christopher Jones are accused of rape and sodomy.

ID=24636447LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – On April 1 former University of Louisville basketball player Chris Jones was released from home incarceration on pending rape and sodomy charges.

He was released on a $20,000 unsecured bond.

The two other defendants involved in this case, 19-year-old Tyvon Walker and 21-year-old Jalen Tilford, were released from home incarceration program too. Walker's was released on an unsecured bond of $20,000 and Tilford was released on an unsecured bond of $25,000.

An unsecured bond means that if the men don't show up for any future court dates they will have to pay $20,000. The men do not owe anything currently.

According to court documents, Tilford and Walker are accused of forcing one of two victims to engage in oral and vaginal intercourse. Jones is accused of forcing both victims.

The case has been referred to the grand jury and it will be presented to the grand jury April 27.

Several witnesses will be called.

This move comes because the suspects have not been indicted. By law, the state can't hold a defendant longer than 60 days without an indictment. By the time this case goes to the grand jury it will be close to that 60 day mark.

It's unclear how long the Commonwealth's presentation will take.
