Back in August, one local woman went viral when her maternity photos showed her surrounded by a swarm of honey bees.
Emily Mueller of Summit County, the Summit County Apiary Inspector and Master Beekeeping Program Chair for the Ohio State Beekeeper's Association, has made it her mission to rescue honey bees, and founded Mueller Honey Bee with that goal in mind.
Her maternity photos reflected her passion.
"They are absolutely beautiful," Mueller told WKYC's Amani Abraham at the time. ""They’re everything I ever wanted."
However, this past week, she and her husband shared some awful news: Their fourth child, a boy named Emersyn Jacob Mueller, was stillborn.
Mueller went public Sunday on Facebook about her loss, saying Emersyn Jacob was "born an angel" and asking for prayers.
The next day, she went more in-depth with her family's experience, saying she felt nervous after not feeling any movement from her unborn child. After she went to the hospital for a checkup, "tears streamed down [her] face" as doctors told her her baby has passed away.
"I can't and don't want to explain that feeling to anyone," she wrote. "Turning to your husband and seeing him die inside. Seeing him completely break. Seeing your children feel and suffer your pain in front of your eyes. The pain is unbearable."
Mueller added "the most horrible thing" came when she learned she would still have to deliver her lifeless child. She said Sufficient Grace Ministries, an organization that helps women in similar situations, played a vital role and "stayed with [them] from beginning to end at the cost of absolutely nothing."
Mueller added she had "a very strong feeling that this was a blood clotting issue as those traits have been affecting our immediate family for some time." She later shared photos of Emersyn Jacob on social media.
Additionally, Sufficient Grace Ministries gave the family the opportunity to put Emersyn Jacob's footprints on a quilt.
"What we have gone through was not in vain and the Lord Almighty will lead us on our path to heal and learn his journey," Mueller wrote.
