LOUISVILLE, Ky. (LBF) — A prominent Highlands restaurant at the intersection of Bardstown Road and Baxter Avenue has shut its doors.

Louisville-based Yang Kee Noodle said in a news release today that it closed its Highlands location today after about three years in business at 1004 Bardstown Road.

“It was a great location and the neighbors were very supportive but, unfortunately, it just doesn’t fit into our new growth plan,” Yang Kee Noodle founder Dan Huckestein, a Louisville native, said in the release.  “We believe that the best path forward is to focus on other company priorities.”

The Highlands location has been removed from the company's website, but its other two Louisville locations at Oxmoor Center in St. Matthews and at the Middletown Commons shopping center will remain open.
