Jobs Alert | 4 different companies bringing dozens of jobs to Kentucky

Envision Modular LLC, S. Rays Inc., Gentis Solutions and AtCoor Packing will bring a combined 234 jobs to Kentucky.

KENTUCKY-- Review your resume Kentuckians because there are plenty of job openings coming. Thursday, the Governor's office announced not one, but four separate companies that adding jobs to the Bluegrass state. 

Here's a list of jobs announced and the companies.

85 Jobs: Envision Modular LLC, which manufactures prefabricated single and multi-story modular buildings, is expected to create 85 full-time jobs with a $25.1 million investment to refurbish an out-of-use facility in Hawesville.

Envision leaders expect to locate in 200,000 square feet of the former Alcoa building in the Hancock County Industrial Park. The site sits on more than 30 acres to accommodate potential future growth, and includes river and rail access allowing the company to quickly ship products to customers. The Permanent Modular Construction (PMC) operation would be the first of its kind in the commonwealth. Company leaders anticipate phase one of construction to begin in the next 30 to 90 days, with phase two to follow this summer, a news release states.

80 Jobs: Pennsylvania-based Gentis Solutions plans to establish its new corporate headquarters in Covington and create 80 well-paying, Kentucky-resident jobs in the process, Gov. Andy Beshear announced.

According to a news release, Gentis plans to house the new headquarters at River Center in Covington and invest $2.7 million to open and expand the facility. Gentis leaders aim to begin operations June 1 and gradually hire 80 employees at the headquarters over the next 10 years. The move to Kentucky will help the company better cater to its customers, a heavy majority of which are located in the commonwealth and Ohio, a company spokesperson said. 

38 Jobs: S. Rays Inc., a Kentucky sunglasses provider is expanding with a $400,000 investment and plans to add 38 full-time jobs. A news release from Gov. Andy Beshear's office on Wednesday said the company will add managerial staff and expand its distribution operations. 

The company is headquartered in Simpsonville and operates under the name Shady Rays. It currently employs 22 people at its headquarters. The release said the company has been approved for state tax incentives of up to $200,000.

31 Jobs: AtCorr Packaging Products, LLC, a manufacturer of corrugated shipping products, intends to create 31 full-time jobs in Barren County with an investment of more than $780,000. 

AtCorr leaders expect to relocate into a 174,000-square-foot space in an existing building owned by the company at 1320 W. Main St. The investment, which comes in response to significant growth in recent years, also will cover the cost of new equipment, work stations and conveyor lines. Positions associated with the new jobs would include production and supervisory roles. Work on the project is expected to begin immediately, with hiring efforts beginning in the coming months.

“The AtCorr team is incredibly excited to be expanding our operations here in Barren County,” said Kenny Whitworth, co-owner of AtCorr. “We are grateful for the support provided by both the state and local governments.”
