LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Publix is coming to Kentucky y'all! The supermarket chain announced Tuesday, it has signed a lease for its first store in Kentucky-specifically Louisville.
According to a news release from Publix Super Markets Inc., the 55,70 square-foot store will be located in the Terra Crossing shopping center at the northwest corner of Terra Crossing Boulevard and Old Henry Road.
Publix Liquors, which will offer will offer beer, wine and spirits, will be adjacent to the supermarket. It will be their first liquors store outside of the state of Florida.
The grand opening date has yet to be determined and will depend on several factors, including permitting and completion of the store’s construction.
However, the store is anticipated to open during the fourth quarter of 2023.
Kentucky will mark Publix’s eighth state of operation.
