(LBF) -- The first phase of redevelopment for Louisville's Jefferson Mall is underway, with plans for a new-to-market entertainment venue.
Round1 Bowling & Amusement will take the space that formerly housed Macy's. The venue is expected to open before the holiday season this year, according to a release from the mall's owner, CBL Properties (NYSE: CBL).
Round1 originated in 1980 in Japan, and it has been expanding its U.S. footprint since opening its first stateside location in California in 2010. It is now in 21 states.
The venue offers bowling, billiards, arcade games, karaoke, darts, ping pong and a kids zone. It also serves food, including pizza, burgers, fries, nachos and ice cream.
