Kroger unveils newest design in Jeffersonville, Ind. store

(LBF) -- Kroger unveiled its newest Louisville-area store this morning, with all the bells and whistles.

The 90,000-square-foot Marketplace store, at 1027 Jeffersonville Commons Boulevard in Jeffersonville, officially opened for business today.

The grocery giant invested $24 million in the new store, according to a news release.

The new location replaced another Kroger at 2956 E. 10th St., about three miles away, which permanently closed on Tuesday night.

The store has Kroger's newest technology conveniences, including Scan, Bag and Go as well as Clicklist. It has nine traditional checkout lanes and 18 self-checkouts.
