LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Hershel "Woody" Williams served in the United States Marine Corps during World War II and was awarded the Medal of Honor in 1945 for his heroism during the Battle of Iwo Jima. Since the war, Woody has dedicated his life to helping the families of U.S. military members who have died in battle. He's back in Louisville this week to do just that. He’ll be hosting 300 Gold Star Family members at Slugger Field.
