67th annual WHAS Crusade For Children

The 2020 Crusade will look different due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

UPDATE: Sunday, August 9

It has been a year for fundraising challenges but that didn’t stop Kentuckiana from coming together to help the WHAS Crusade for Children. America’s most successful telethon raised $4.8 million during its 67th telethon after a generous donation of $36,479 from the Sam Swope Family Foundation to round up the total.

Previous story

The WHAS Crusade for Children has rescheduled the 2020 Crusade for Aug. 8-9 due to coronavirus concerns.

While the pandemic may have changed some of your favorite Crusade events, we'll still be livestreaming Saturday and Sunday with new contactless ways to donate. All proceeds go to Kentuckiana children with special needs.

The show will kick off at 1 p.m. Saturday, running through 6:30 p.m. Sunday. While there will not be a variety show, WHAS favorites will still appear throughout the weekend.

You can donate safely and securely on the WHAS Crusade for Children website, or make other digital donations through text, Paypal, Venmo and Alexa Pay.

To text a donation, text CRUSADE to 50155 and complete a donation. There is also a way to honor a fire department through the donation. All Venmo donations can go to @CrusadeForChildren, where people can credit a fire department in the description.

People who use Cash App can also make a secure donation to $CrusadeChildren. The WHAS Crusade for Children website also has secure ways to pay through Facebook, mail or a local fire department.

The 67th Annual WHAS Crusade for Children apparel can also be purchased online.
