LOUISVILLE (WHAS11) -- Warm Spring days deserve a cooling refreshment, like ice cream! Now you can enjoy a cookie-and-fudge creation and help the WHAS Crusade for Children.

Trevor Young of Chillers prepared the first "Crusade Vortex" of the season.

During May every time you enjoy this warm cookie, soft-serve treat at any Chillers or Zestos location, $1 will go to the Crusade.

"We just like helping back the community.  It's our way of giving back to the Crusade.  It's our 5th year of doing it,” Young, with Chillers, said. “And we're happy to help out."

Since 2014 the Chillers and Zestos have raised more than $3,500 to help children with special needs in Kentucky and southern Indiana.
