LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Checkout this week’s Pick6 of events and things to do:

  • You have until Sunday to see Miss Saigon. The legendary Broadway musical is a tragic love story with an epic journey of survival. Go to www.kentuckyperformingarts.org for showtimes and available tickets.
  • On Saturday, at the Carnegie Center in New Albany, it’s a jam session with Jamey Aebersold. Enjoy some great jazz from 10:30am until 12:30pm. This event is FREE.
  • It’s the Women of Courage photo exhibit and cultural explosion on Saturday from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the Kentucky Center for African American Heritage. You can enjoy Afro-Caribbean food, music and a fashion show. Admission is FREE.
  • It’s the Friends of Shawnee Library. They will host a Black History Celebration on Saturday at 11:00 am.
  • It’s the Ross Mathews’ Name Drop Tour. He will be at the Kentucky Center on Saturday. Tickets for are $40.00. Showtime is at 8:00 pm.
  • On Sunday, the co-founder and conductor for the Chicago Jazz Philharmonic, Orbert Davis will be in concert at 7:30 pm at U of L’s School of Music at Comstock Hall. General admission is $10.00.
