LOUISVILLE (WHAS11) -- Thunder Over Louisville 2016 is now in the books.

Sunny skies and warm temperatures drew a crowd of about 725,000 people to the banks of the Ohio River. It was not a record but still a big crowd.

This year for the first time, the soundtrack was recorded by Teddy Abrams and The Louisville Orchestra. But the collaboration could continue in the future.

Mayor Fischer tweeted the following out after the fireworks: "I think we have created a new music tradition for Thunder."
