Taylor Woods is a Multi-skilled journalist for WHAS11 News.

She joined the team in September 2022 after graduating from Northwestern University with her Master of Science in Journalism.

During her time at Northwestern, the Indianapolis native anchored and reported for Medill Reports. She was even a host for CAN-TV where she conducted interviews with Chicagoans about topics impacting the community.

Previously, Taylor attended the University of Indianapolis where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Electronic Media Communication and Political Science in May 2021.

While there, Taylor was the news director of WICR-FM. She anchored weekly radio newscasts, assigned reporters with beats and led the team’s election coverage during the 2020 pandemic. She balanced her time as news director while working part-time at WISH-TV during her senior year.

Taylor credits her internship at WISH-TV for molding her into a multimedia journalist. Her internship began in the summer of 2020 where she learned how to cover a wide-range of stories. She took advantage of every opportunity to learn and grow. That's when she was offered a part-time position to write content for the web and evening newscasts. She even conducted interviews that aired during the night show.

She is happy to be in the Bluegrass State and looks forward to exploring the beautiful city of Louisville.

Taylor is a big foodie and loves trying new restaurants. When she’s not chasing stories she can be found spending time with family and friends or serving in the community.

Taylor is most passionate about community and advocacy.

She enjoys bringing people and their untold stories to the forefront. If you have a story idea or want to connect with her.
