Colleen Peterson attended one of the top meteorology schools in the nation at Florida State University.
Colleen's research in weather and commodities lead her to an internship at an energy trading company in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Her unique forecasting experience is beneficial to her broadcast career.
Her first broadcast job was at WKRG in Mobile, Alabama.
She reported live out in the field in numerous tropical storms during 2020, the most active hurricane season on record.
She is also a NAPPIE Award winner for best weekend TV newscast.
Colleen's hometown is Sebastian, Florida, and has a passion for storm-chasing hurricanes and tornadoes.
Outside of news, she loves spending time outdoors and going on adventures with her dog Duke! She is excited about the challenge to forecast for Kentuckiana!
