LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Chelsea joined the team as a meteorologist in July 2021.
Previously, Chelsea was a meteorologist at WTVQ in Lexington, Ky. Before that, she was a meteorologist at WGEM in Quincy, IL, for three years. She is excited to be here and forecast for Kentuckiana!
While Chelsea is a proud Hoosier, growing up on the south side of Indianapolis, she is excited to call Kentucky home. Her strong passion for weather came after overcoming her fear of thunderstorms at a young age.
Her ultimate test of knowing her fear was gone was when she was chasing tornadoes in Eastern Colorado with her Ball State University storm chasing class.
She graduated from BSU in 2017. She started college at Indiana University before transferring to BSU. She was a cheerleader for both schools.
Chelsea has covered pretty much all weather the Midwest has to offer, from tornado outbreaks, blizzards, historic floods, droughts, and more. The ever-changing weather is why she loves the Midwest!
When Chelsea is not working, she loves spending time with her fiancé and fur baby, Boomer, finding new restaurants to try, and exploring the city.
