Maya was born on Mother's day. We seen her on father's day at the Awesome Flea Market in Shepherdsville. We weren't even looking for a dog. Well, my husband was telling me about theses puppies someone was selling for $10.00 I said no, no more dogs I have two already. So he said you need to come here if they don't sell them all they are going to shoot them in a field mind you these are 6 week old puppies, and this is the reason why everyone must neuter or spay your pets. So we went to see them and OMG they were the cutest things. I told my son to pick one and he chose a female but the one he chose wasnt so energetic (No shots at all) so I said no she isnt energetic choose another one we saw Maya and once we put her on the ground she was a stumbling 6 week old puppy who just ran in the grass we decided to rescue her. Maya is so energetic she loves to take pictures and she loves to smile as you can see in her pictures. I am very proud I changed my mind about Maya she is such a wonderful joy to have in our family and she gets along great with my 3 year old Boxer named Zeus and my 6 year old Chihuahua Pebbles. Zeus protects Maya and the funniest thing was when we brought her home Zeus was acting like a mother he would lay down and he would actually let her nibble on his teets it was something else. Now they both run around and Pebbles well, she's just an old lady that wants to be left alone. That's the story of Maya oh and she is a Beagle / Australian Shepherd mixed puppy.
