Our family always takes trips to Hilton Head, SC and about 5 years ago my parents decided to visit the Humane Society down there to possibly bring home a new family member. They walked in and saw Brillo and they fell in love. Not only did they fall in love with him, but also his story. Brillo was dumped by the side of the road and when he was found he was within hours of death and covered in mange, very dehydrated and malnourished. The Hilton Head Humane Society treated Brillo and also named him because they said his skin was so bad before treatment, that it looked like a Brillo pad. We loved his story and his unique name so much that there was no way we could change it. He is definitely one of a kind!!
