Nearly 5" of rain fell in 24 hours according to a neighbor who measured it in the rain gauge in his back yard. The heavy rains caused the MSD Detention Basin to overflow and spill over Wynbrooke Circle in the Springhurst neighborhood, trapping residents (~100 homes) in the Village of Wynbrooke for several hours this afternoon. Flood waters have since receded and no longer cover the road.
