Inspired by the movie Alice In WonderLand my daughter wanted to be the mad hatter, her hat kept sliding to the sides but as she said the hat makes the costume. This costume was homemade, jacket was a Indiana Jones thrift store find $2.50 cut short. Hat was homemade. Bird pendent printed & cut out from the same foam board used for hat then glittered for sparkle. Sleeves made from lace table mats & other accessories including makeup where 99c & Dollar Tree finds. Shoes, shirt, socks are everyday wear. Costume was approx.$14 dollars. No sewing machine involved just glue gun, iron on tape & little hand
sewing. She was voted best costume at her school.
