Keep doing what you're doing to beat the heat this week. We hit a record high of 94 Monday (tied "old" record of 94, set back in 1895). Looks like we could surpass the record of 94 for Tuesday (set in 1937).
Highs will stay in the low to mid 90s all week. But, the humidity is also high, so heat indices will be in the mid to upper 90s!
Avoid heat-related illness by wearing lightweight, light-colored, loose-fitted clothing. Drink plenty of water (avoid alcohol and caffeine - it makes you more dehydrated). Remember not to leave any person or pet in parked cars as the temperatures there will rapidly rise to unsafe levels. Make sure your pets have a cool, shady place, and plenty of water.
