The storms last night provided some brief relief from the amazingly high heat and humidity, but now we've got the leftover moisture. So, get ready for the humidity to be rising high with the excessive heat. The combination of temperatures in the mid-upper 90s and dew points in the mid-upper 70s, will drive the heat index to 100-115 degrees!
To add insult to injury, we also have an Air Quality Alert today.
Take a look at the picture below, first a look at the powerful storms last night. Incredible lightning!!

What a heat wave!! More than two dozen states now under Heat Advisories and Warnings. We're not alone! It is July, but wow!
The heat and sunshine will bake air particulates and pollutants creating unhealthy levels of Ozone. Therefore, we have an Air Quality Alert today. Stay inside, breathe easy!
Bottomline, take it easy, keep the kids cool, and check on the elderly and those without A/C. And, don't forget about the pets!
