(WHAS11) -- More than $2 million has been approved for homeowners, businesses and others affected by the tornadoes that ripped through Southern Indiana.
The Federal Emergency Management Agency says more than $1 million was approved to pay for expenses not covered by insurance.
That includes temporary rental assistance, repairing and replacing household items, and disaster-related medical costs.
Storms caused extensive damage Feb. 29 through March 3 in Clark, Jefferson, Ripley, Scott, Warrick and Washington counties.
