(WHAS11) -- A Facebook page has become a lost and found for small keepsakes that belong to those affected by the deadly tornado outbreak.

The page, “Returning Memories to Tornado Victims” was created by Chase Horton. Horton says he was touched by the stories of those impacted and wanted to help. When he learned some of their belongings were landing in yards hundreds of miles from the damage, he decided to create a way to connect those who lost items to those who found them.

“These people weren’t affected directly by that storm, but now it’s falling out of the sky and into their backyards,” said Horton.

People have already posted pictures of items from Henryville, Pekin and West Liberty. Horton says he’s hoping someone will see the items and help them get back to the rightful owners.

“It may be something simple and mean nothing to them, but it may mean the world,” said Horton.
