This summer is noticeably cooler than last summer. Just looking at June, there isn’t much of a difference. But, July there was BIG differences! The average monthly difference from 2012 to 2013 was almost 8 degrees!

Total 90+ degree days for 2012 (June thru August) = 53 days

Total 90+ degree days for 2013 (June thru August 5) = 18 days

There was a total of ten 100+ degree days for 2012. There haven’t been any 100+ degree days for 2013.

We are just getting into August, but it’s already starting off below average. The outlook from NOAA for August 12th – 18th isn’t showing any hope for those 90 degree fans. Nearly a 70% chance for below normal temperatures!
