LEWISBURG, Ky. (AP) -- A southern Kentucky man has been killed as a thunderstorm struck in Logan County.
Sheriff Wallace Whittaker said Friday that 56-year-old Billy Duck was among people sitting outside on a porch Thursday night when a wind gust snapped a tree limb, which fell onto him.
Whittaker said CPR was performed at the scene and Duck was taken to Local County Memorial Hospital, where County Coroner Mary Gibins pronounced him dead. Whittaker said the limb struck Duck in the head and chest.
The incident occurred around 9 p.m. EDT.
