JEFFERSONVILLE, Ind. (WHAS11) -- The trial for a Jeffersonville man accused of stabbing his wife multiple times is underway in Clark County.
Edward "Dale" Bagshaw is accused of killing his wife while his children watched from his apartment window.
Police said Dale and his wife, Kelly, were in the process of getting a divorce. Kelly Bagshaw was picking up their two children Nov. 13, 2011 at Dale's Lafayette Square apartment when the two got into a fight inside her car. Bagshaw told police he pulled out a folding knife from his pocket and stabbed his wife.
Dale pleaded not guilty to the charges and filed for a change of venue, but that motion was denied.
Bagshaw could face 65 years in prison if convicted.
The first witness is set to take the stand Wednesday morning at the Clark County Courthouse.
