LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- An unusual sight at Louisville’s main library on York Street as hundreds of teens showed up in costumes on Friday.

It's all part of AnimeCon, a celebration of Japanese animation and Asian culture.

Teens took classes on Japanese fish printing, learned about samurais and even got to try sumo wrestling.

Many came dressed as their favorite anime characters.

The celebration of anime continues on Saturday at the main library on York Street, but the event is only for kids of ages from five to 11.
