LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Kentucky State Officials say a committee will meet next week to evaluate Louisville businessman Ed Hart's new proposal to re-open Kentucky Kingdom.
Hart unveiled the plan at a news conference on Monday and sources told WHAS11's Joe Arnold that after an initial review state officials are doubtful they could approve the proposal in its present form.
The proposal calls for a $120-million investment and would use the rides as collateral for a private loan instead of the burden falling on taxpayers.
