SIMPSONVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- The planning commission in Shelby County moves forward with plans to build an outlet mall.
The outlet mall will be near Simpsonville, Ky. off I-64 on the west side of Buck Creek Road.
On Tuesday the board approved the rezoning and site approval plans for the property.
Some residents were worrying about the plans but developers say the economic impact is positive for the community.
The plan is for construction to begin early in 2013 with a potential opening in 2014.
