WAYNESVILLE, Ind. (WHAS11) – Police are investigating a homicide after multiple individuals were found dead inside a home in Waynesville, Ind.

During a press conference held Sunday morning, we learned the victims, three men and one woman, were shot to death.  Those victims have been identified as Katherine Burton, 53, Thomas Smith, 39, Aaron Cross and Shawn Burton, both 41-years-old. The three men were found dead in the living room and Katherine Burton was found dead in a bedroom.

Aunt of Timothy Smith, Reiney Haesley, says Smith and Katherine Burton were madly in love and they were inseparable. She says she is shocked over the quadruple murders.

A relative visiting the home found them late Saturday night.
