LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – Louisville Metro Police have confirmed they are investigating  the sighting of a van wanted in three recent attempted abductions.

LMPD public information officer Dwight Mitchell said a woman called police around 7 a.m. Friday morning after she was approached while waiting at a bus stop in the 200 block of N. 18th Street.

Mitchell said the woman told officers a white van pulled up to the bus stop with its door open and three white males inside. The woman said the men tried to coax her into the van.

The driver is described as a man in his 50s or 60s with shoulder-length, salt and pepper hair.

This is the fourth attempted abduction police have investigated in recent days. All the victims have described similar vehicles and given similar descriptions of the driver.

Thursday a woman was approached at the Republic Bank on Bardstown Road and last week two women who work at the Cracker Barrel in Bardstown reported similar incidents, one saying she was grabbed by a man.

Police have very little information to go on, but one victim did catch a partial license plate number: J-H-L.

If you see anyone suspicious or see any suspicious activity you are urged to call 911 or you local police department.
