LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- A Louisville man who police say killed a woman while fleeing from officers has been indicted on murder charges.
Joseph Johnson was allegedly fleeing from police when he crashed into another car on West Kentucky street in October. Stephanie Melson, 31, was killed.
Police say they were investigating Johnson as part of a narcotics investigation.
Since the crash, Louisville Metro Police have changed their policy to only pursue people suspected in violent felonies.
