LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- The Louisville teen that was killed in a tragic car accident on I-71 Saturday is described as a hard worker, and a very charming young man.

Dakota Pitzer, 17, lost a tire on his jeep while driving south on I-71, near the 7 mile marker. The jeep flipped over several times into the northbound lanes, and finally over an embankment.

Pitzer just finished his junior year at Atherton High School and was on his way to work at the Breckinridge Inn pool when he crashed his car.

Dakota's mother also tells WHAS11 he was an Eagle Scout in Troop 314.

He died of blunt force trauma in the car accident. Police say he was wearing his seat belt.
