LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- A Louisville father is dead and police are looking for suspects in his murder. Jospeh Cothron was gunned down last night in front of his own home at 16th and Chestnut Sunday night. Neighbors who were at home when the shooting happened said they heard six or seven gunshots.
“I’m lying there, then I get the looking like was those gunshots?,” said Whitney Simpson.
Simpson just moved in and was stunned to hear the violence Sunday night. She said she heard a commotion at the time of the shooting.
“He was a friendly dude, knew that he was friendly, laughed all the time. It’s crazy out here,” said Davon Adams. Adams says Cothron worked at one of the downtown hospitals in the housekeeping department. Adams said the victim was helping to get him a job there as well.
