(WHAS11) -- A man from central Kentucky was sentenced to kidnapping and trying to rape a 10-year-old girl.
Officials tell us Jetto Dye was sentenced to 30-years on Monday in a LaRue County courtroom.
In November, Dye pleaded guilty to attempting to rape the child, trying to kill her and kidnapping her.
State police say Dye is no relation to the child but her parents were visiting Dye's home and left briefly while the girl was asleep.
