(WHAS11) -- What was supposed to be a joyful milestone for hundreds of high school students in New Jersey was almost ruined by a funnel cloud.
The class of 2012 was celebrating their graduation on the football field, when a funnel cloud started to form. Instead of running for cover graduates just started throwing their caps into the air.
Luckily no one was hurt and the National Weather Service says no tornadoes actually touched down.
