LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – A fatal accident on I-71 northbound near the 7 mile marker at around 2:54 p.m. Saturday closed multiple lanes in both directions of 71.
Dwight Mitchell, with LMPD, says a Jeep was headed south on I-71, lost control after he lost a tire and flipped over into the northbound lanes.
The driver of the Jeep was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver's identity has not been released.
