LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- The heat and humidity cleared Thursday so they could pour the Kentucky Bourbon and put on the bowties with good food at Corbett's in eastern Jefferson County.
Top Flight Chefs were preparing their own dishes for the Fourth Annual Bourbon & Bowties event, which is a fundraiser for Kosair Children's Hospital.
The bartenders had Kentucky's finest bourbon on hand and the staff at Corbett's were being fitted with a special Bird Dog Bay bow tie.
It was designed for 13-year-old Owen McMasters.
He's being treated for Leukemia and this event honored him.
Dean Corbett said he sold 700 tickets.
He hoped to raise $300 thousand and WHAS11's Claudia Coffey emceed the sold out event.
