LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Two separate accidents overnight have claimed the life of two men who were riding motorcycles.

The first accident happened just before midnight at Industrial Boulevard and Fern Valley Road. Police said a Nissan Altima hit a motorcycle carrying two people.

The driver, identified by the coroner as 62-year-old Phillip Frey, was killed and the passenger suffered injuries but is expected to be OK. Frey was rushed to University Hospital, where he died.

Another motorcycle driver was killed at Lower Hunters Trace and Triplett. Police said it appears the driver, later identified as 23-year-old Victor Williams, lost control and ran off the road.  Williams was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers said they have not ruled out speed or alcohol as factors in the second crash.
