UofL, Colts in S. Ind. to help with clean up efforts; Ford donates $100,000

(WHAS11) -- On Thursday afternoon, the University of Louisville football team made the trip to Southern Indiana to help clean up storm debris.

Coach Charlie Strong split his team in half.  The defense went to Henryville, Ind., and the offense went to Marysville, Ind.

Coach Strong said it was a lesson in character-building for his team.

The Indianapolis Colts will be in Southern Indiana on Friday to help with cleanup.

WHAS11 has learned that Ford and its' Louisville and Cincinnati employees donated a combined $100,000 to local chapters of the Red Cross and the Dare to Care Food Bank in Louisville.
