Louisville, Ky. (WHAS11) - Two years ago, Louisville head soccer coach Ken Lolla did something to help kids of all ages learn a valuble lesson.

He wrote a children's book called “Finding Your Gifts.”  It stressed that everyone is special no matter how different they are. That story came to life thanks to the Blue Apple Players.

Lolla said, "Not only was it very neat to see the story come to life, but the  Blue Apple Playres were so good, so professional so captivating they were able to really bring the kids into the story and really enjoy it and find value in it."

The live-action version of the book was an easy way to get kids involved and teach the lesson, and it was a perfect way for Lolla's life lesson to touch a lot of people.

“It's so easy to criticize people for being different, but it's understandably in those differences is what makes us special,” he said.
