Undercover child porn investigation lands Jefferson Co. man behind bars

FRANKFORT, Ky. (November 21, 2012) – Attorney General Jack Conway today announced the arrest of a Jefferson County man following an investigation by his Cybercrimes Unit. General Conway’s Cybercrimes investigators arrested 27-year-old Christopher Lloyd on November 20 on four counts of possession of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor.

Lloyd’s arrest is the result of an undercover investigation that began in August of 2012.  Cybercrimes investigators arrested Lloyd at his Louisville, Ky. home yesterday, at which time a laptop computer was seized from the residence. 

Lloyd was lodged in the Louisville Metro Department of Corrections.  The Attorney General’s investigation of this matter is ongoing.

Since its creation in June of 2008, General Conway’s Cybercrimes Unit has launched approximately 300 child pornography investigations and seized more than 350,000 child pornographic images and videos from the Internet.  The unit is also a member of the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force.

A charge is merely an accusation.  A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
