(WHAS11) Well-behaved, outgoing, talkative, does well in school! What parent wouldn't love that description about their 9-year-old!
When we caught up with Jordan Goodwin and his new Big Brother, after hours of fun at the Louisville Slugger Museum, it was a double treat. For 9-year-old Jordan Goodwin, swinging for the fences is nothing new.
Jordan and his Big Brother, Neal Sandefur, had the Louisville Slugger Museum all to themselves after hours, thanks to the Slugger staff. They were touring the Charlie Brown Exhibit, which includes the original works of Charles M. Schulz.
This holiday exhibit will bring you back to your childhood. For the museum, it's been a winter time wonder for attendance at a normally slow time. Jordan says not many of his friends are connecting with Charlie Brown, but he's a fan and like Linus and friends, Jordan is loving getting older.
And it is the season of giving, so the folks at Slugger made sure this young man with the wide smile went home smiling even more; and a bat for the Big Brother who came into Jordan's life after he had been on the waiting list for ten months.
It’s a great time of year for you to volunteer as a Big Brother or Big Sister. They will help you get started. Just call 1-877-588-2300.
