LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Police say a man robbed the same bank two days in a row then hit a Highlands convenience store.

Detectives say surveillance pictures show the same person robbed the US Bank on Preston Highway Tuesday then returned Wednesday for another holdup. On Thursday morning they believe he robbed a Speedway in the Highlands on the corner of Bardstown and Grinstead.

In all three crimes the man allegedly drew a weapon.

"Anytime that they display a handgun like that, there's always potential for it to escalate and there to be some violence, so we're very concerned about public safety at this point," Lt. Jennifer Coe with LMPD said.

Some of the same employees were at US Bank for both robberies but no one is hurt.

Police describe him as a 30 to 40-years-old, between 5 feet 7 inches and 5 feet 10 inches tall and 170 to 185 pounds with a shaved head and medium complexion.

Police say the suspect was last seen wearing a red hoodie sweatshirt, blue jeans and dark shoes. Anyone with information is asked to call the anonymous police tipline at 574-LMPD.
