LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- UofL basketball player Kyle Kuric is used to playing to crowds of tens of thousands, but Saturday was a whole different ball game.

He sat in the crowd at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry graduation waiting for one special name to be called, his girlfriend Taraneh Momeni.

Kyle went on stage to take a picture, at least that was his excuse.

"I knew once he got up there, something was about to happen," said Taraneh Momeni.

That's when Kyle Kuric grabbed the microphone and proposed to his longtime girlfriend Taraneh Momeni on stage.

"I was just sitting their anxious, getting all nervous. I started shaking and I finally got up there to do it and worked out well,” said Kuric.

It was short and sweet, but it got the job done.

"Well, my entire family was going to be in town and obviously her entire family was going to be in town for this so, we wanted it to be a big family thing and she had no idea so that just added to it," said Kuric.

A big day for any graduate, made even more memorable for Kyle and Taraneh.
