(WHAS11)-Did you know that more people die from lung cancer than any other type of cancer each year?
Almost 2-hundred thousand people die from the disease in the United States every year.
But there are groups trying to help, including a new group right here in Kentuckiana.
Doctor Goetz Kloecker from the Brown Cancer Center and Nancy Alvey a lung cancer survivor stopped by Sunday to tell us a little about this.
The Kentucky and Southern Indiana Lung Cancer Alliance is holding their kick off celebration on May 19th at Gilda's Club. The party starts at 5:00 p.m.
