LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) -- Light snow falling in north central Kentucky has caused some wrecks in and around Louisville, but no large accumulations are expected.

The National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory until noon, warning drivers to use caution on roadways on Tuesday morning. Several slick spots have caused vehicles to slide off the road in Louisville, but there were no reports of serious injuries.

But forecasters say that a storm system developing across Texas and expected to move into the South on Thursday night could bring more snow.

The snowfall is expected to start Thursday night and continue into Saturday with the heaviest snows expected on Friday. The latest forecast from the weather service calls for snow totals of up to 10 inches possible across parts of south central Kentucky. Farther north in the Louisville/Lexington corridor, totals above four inches are possible.
