(WHAS11/NEWS RELEASE) -- Help to fight Sickle Cell one step at at a time with the Third Sickle Cell Anemia 5K Walk/Run on Saturday September 8.
The walk/run will be held at Louisville's Iroquois Park. Registration opens at 7:00 a.m., the balloon dedication ceremony will begin at 8 a.m., following the race at 8:30 a.m.
The Sickle Cell Association of Kentuckiana serves over 100 families yearly through programming, support groups, and seasonal events.
