(WHAS11) -- A woman shot multiple times drove herself and her passenger to the police station at 12:30 Sunday morning.

A police officer was sitting in his car at the Second Division Headquarters on Bhone Avenue around 12:30 a.m., when a black pickup truck pulled into the parking lot.

Both the driver of the truck and her passenger had been shot.

“The officer was in the parking lot. He was summoned for help at that point by the individual that was driving,” Dwight Mitchell, a LMPD official, said. “He took action at that point of getting them medical assistance.”

The passenger, a woman in her late 20's was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver, who had been shot multiple times, was rushed to University Hospital. No word on her condition yet.

Police think the shooting happened in a different location but they don't know where.

As of now, there are no suspects. If you have any information call the police at 574-LMPD.
