FRANKFORT, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Kentucky State Police have arrested a woman on charges of child abuse.
Early Thursday morning Samantha Holt, 22, of Shelbyville was arrested in the case of an injured two-year-old.
On Wednesday, January 16 at 11:55 pm a trooper responded to a residence on Eminence Pike in Shelby County. At the residence a trooper located an injured two-year old-child. Shelby County EMS responded and transported the injured child to the Kosair Hospital in Louisville.
Holt has been charged with first degree criminal abuse and is in the Shelby County Detention Center.
An investigation is ongoing.
